Here I am once again in a place that I once knew. Where there once was a garden, a magical place to me. Ignored by time and hands, the years have taken their toll.

An overgrown garden full of crumbling rock and stone, for some it is an eyesore but nature won’t leave it alone. A place that was once majestic, a place where people laughed, a place where people joined in wedlock, a place we once called home, has now been handed back to Mother Nature to kiss its arid earth.

It is now a garden of resistance, where life will one day, once more endure.

Overgrown Garden is a work I produced in 2018. Inspired by nature’s inherent ability to adapt to change, and to thrive.

I am an artist and blogger best known for my weekly insights into the art world which are written to support other independent visual artists from around the world. I am also known for land and seascapes and also create abstract works that reflect on nature and life. I have created everything from fine art commissions to restaurant menus to films and music scores and book covers. In 2002 I was awarded a Butler Trust Award at Buckingham Palace from HRH Princess Anne for my work in delivering environmental education to disadvantaged groups and I have been creating digital and traditional art since the early 1980s.
